DOMINUS IESUS

The purpose of this web site is to remind people to be faithful to the teachings of Our Lord Jesus Christ that we learn through the Magisterium of the Roman Catholic Church. To counteract trends in contemporary thought that are producing insidious types of heresies and idolatries, it appeared to be most effective to highlight some pivotal truths that are being challenged, diluted, or ignored. All of the ideas for the web pages were inspired during prayer.
There seems to be various problems with terminology when discussing religion, a certain lack of certitude about the mutual understanding of terms. For example, previously when one said the word "Christ," people would automatically understand that the speaker was referring to Jesus Christ. In order to remind people that the Christ is Our Lord Jesus Christ, and that there is "no other name under heaven and earth by which men are saved" (see Dominus Iesus), I constructed the web site "Most Holy Name of Jesus."
Similarly, there is much emphasis on the concept of "light," particularly with "New Age" thought. One of the temptations of satan is that he can give knowledge (light). This is sometimes erroneously referred to as wisdom, but this is not the true wisdom. Jesus is "the true light, which enlightens everyone," and this is illustrated in song, scripture, writings of the saints, and graphics on the web site "Jesus Christ, the True Light."
The concept of healing is also very popular with proponents of New Age ideas. Jesus warns us of "signs and wonders" that would present a challenge to our faith. However, Jesus heals not only our bodies, but He is the only One who can heal our souls by the forgiveness of sins through the sacraments of healing. At the web site, Jesus Christ, the True Physician," the healing miracles of Jesus are referenced with scripture passages from the New American Bible and accompanying illustrative paintings.
One of the heroic champions of Catholicism is Blessed Pope Pius IX 1792-1878. Unfairly maligned, he persevered under great danger and adversity to guard, clarify, and promulgate the Sacred Deposit of the Faith. Be sure to access the web site to read about his contributions and the myth-shattering news releases and articles that were inspired by his recent beatification.
Since the Church faces some extraordinary challenges, we are asked to let our voices be heard, even if it is only with writing a letter or signing a petition. On the web site "Current Issues," there are links and information pertaining to several items that are important to Catholics. Please access the web site and prayerfully consider getting involved either on a personal or parish level.
I hope that this explanation has
